About Us - Den Ouden Contracting

Den Ouden Contracting Pty Ltd is a Ballarat based company that handles road and under road infrastructure (including sewer and stormwater), land devlopment, earthmoving, road development, drainage, sewer reticulation, septic tank installation, water reticulation and civil works. They are current members of the Civil Contractors and have been operating for over 30 years as Civil Contractors in several States of Australia.

Bill Den Ouden, the Principal, is a Licenced Drainer (Lic No. 32972) under the Building Act1993 and pursuant to section 221 J. This allows Den Ouden Contracting to carry out sewerage, drainage and plumbing works in accordance with the Act. Bill obtained his licence after studying at the Ballarat School of Mines and has 30 years experience in the civill works and civil construction industry, with nine years as a Licensed Drainer.

Den Ouden contracting currently employs twelve permanent staff and casuals and sub-contractors as required for particular drainage and civil contracting works.

Bill Den Ouden’s civil works experience includes:

32 years in drainage and civil construction
Installation of over 2,000 septic tanks
Major projects installing water pipes, sewers,stormwater drains, gas and service authority cables and conduits
Projects within Ballarat and District Municipalities installing Septic and Effluent Systems
Road Construction and Land Development Projects
Specialising in Environmental Effluent Quality
